It was recently announced that Sebastian won the 2024 FWC Fish Art Competition! He competed against hundreds of other kids from throughout the state. For this year he submitted a beautiful redfish drawing that he made which was inspired by his fishing experiences at Sebastian Inlet. The inlet has so much wildlife that converges in that area, and Sebastian wanted to capture that in his drawing. He frequently saw green turtles in among the rocks, and he also included a blue crab because crabs are among the redfish’s favorite meals.
In addition to Sebastian’s art being displayed at the FWC headquarters in Tallahassee, his art will now advance to the National Fish Art competition where he will compete against all the state winners. For more information about the contest and to see the other entries please visit the links below:
