About Sebastian
From an early age, Sebastian found joy in expressing his imagination through drawing. His first passions were dinosaurs, followed by horses, airplanes, helicopters, and boats. He would fill his sketchbooks with incredible detail and could talk endlessly about these subjects.
Sebastian’s love for nature truly blossomed through his travels to a wide range of ecologically rich destinations. Adventures in Costa Rica, Alaska, Cuba, Mexico, France, Spain, and countless road trips across the U.S. exposed him to diverse wildlife and landscapes, fueling his curiosity and artistic inspiration.
Since publicly sharing his artwork in 2023, Sebastian Romo has quickly earned recognition from art collectors, anglers, and conservationists across the country. He is a three-time Florida state champion, winning the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish Art Contest in 2024, 2025, and 2026. In 2026, his artwork also earned 2nd Place nationally in his age division, followed by the prestigious Best in Show award, selected from entries spanning every age category, including international submissions. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also selected one of Sebastian’s illustrations to appear on Florida’s 2025 freshwater fishing license, where it was featured alongside artwork by one of his greatest inspirations, Dr. Guy Harvey.
When not drawing, Sebastian likes exploring and getting hands-on experiences wild animals. He is also an avid fisherman and enjoys carving his own wooden lures and tying his own fly fishing flies.
