Designing a shirt for Triple Trouble Charters

We met Captain Leith after he reached out to us on Facebook. He had seen some of my artwork and wanted to know if I could design something for his charter fishing business. He works very close to where I live, so rather than communicating over text or email, he invited my dad and I to a business meeting in person, on his boat, a few miles out on the gulf. Yeah, we got a little fishing in too.

So he requested a drawing with 3 fish in it along with his boat, which he restored himself, named Triple Trouble.  He gave me a few ideas and a couple photos of his boat, and I went to work with some sketches.

After after the captain approved of my sketch, my next step was to do the line art in ink, and then color it with markers and pastels.

Here is the final artwork, after my dad helped me add the text.

Captain Leith was happy with the design, and I look forward to seeing my artwork printed on his shirts!  I’d also highly recommend him if you are looking for a fun,  professionally run charter, aboard a very clean and comfortable boat.
